“Payment to: Paypal; PayPal’s damages caused by Acceptable Use Policy violation.”
The AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) of PayPal payment company are “rules” that tell you what you’re allowed to buy/sell – and what you are prohibited to. PayPal is allowed to change them at any time. The problem about this is in the User Agreement of PayPal:
PayPal can fine your merchant account somewhat arbitrarily, including charging $2500 per violation of the Acceptable Use Policy. There are even cases where PayPal deducted 100% of the account holders money. We do not accept this and want to give a help guideline on this website – which is the reason why we created it. PayPal takes money off accounts
Many people have been robbed and stolen by PayPal under the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy AUP. PayPal takes the money to their own account.
A proof is here:
One story from a user: “ROLA”
I have had an AWFUL experience with PayPal that cost me $20,000 USD. I would like to share my story to spread awareness and to connect with any other PayPal users that may have had a similarly awful experience.
Back on July 31st, 2020 ( 285 days ago) I received a notification from PayPal stating that my account got permanently closed and my funds ( $19,947.03 USD ) will be placed on a 180-day hold.
On February 16, 2021, I emailed a PayPal referral explaining that the hold on my money surpassed 180 days.
On March 29, 2021, at 04:45 PM I received the following message from PayPal:
PayPal User Agreement explicitly states that sellers who violate our Acceptable Use Policy may be liable for damages up to $2,500 USD per violation. These violations may include the sale of prohibited Adult or Offensive Content, Drugs, Counterfeit Goods, etc. We have dedicated teams and robust internal processes to ensure adherence to our policy, and the company may look to recover damages from sellers who have broken our agreement.
The balance of $19,947.03 has been removed from your account permanently.”
I have received the same script over and over and over again. Not one employee at PayPal was prepared to give me answers to my questions or elaborate on what EXACTLY they claim I violated. HOW can this be legal?????
Please share my story and help spread awareness. If this could happen to me, it could very easily happen to others. PayPal problem perfect solution and PayPal account creation do not care about us as individuals. They completely took advantage of me during the toughest year (2020), when things were already insanely tough
Famous case: Chris Moneymaker
Poker Hall of Famer Chris Moneymaker is suing ubiquitous payment processing giant PayPal. In a press release issued late last week, Moneymaker’s attorney, Eric Bensamochan, said that they will be suing PayPal for breach of contract, unjust enrichment and bad faith, “among other causes of action,” for confiscating more than $12,000 from the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event champion’s account.

We need every member here to send their story to these reporters listed above and enumerate facts supported with evidence. Attach screenshots of the transactions where PayPal stole your funds under false damages also attach support messages falsely promising your money. Your message should include your true story in your own words. NO copy/paste. Your message need to focus on the main 2 illegal actions committed by PayPal
1- PayPal user agreement estimated AUP damages at $2,500 USD per violation and NOT per transaction. PayPal actions are considered a breach of their own agreements as they steal all hard earned money and empty balance to reach ZERO! 2- PayPal debit random amounts to empty balance that doesn't represent any genuine pre-estimate of loss or damages. Under the common law, liquidated damages may not be set so high that they are penalty clauses rather than fair compensation.
